Louie Yi President and Tour Expert

Louie Yi is our founder and tour expert. As a child, he traveled extensively in China with his parents who were geologists. Louie worked in the tourism industry in China for over 10 years, leading groups of western visitors all over China and Southeast Asia before establishing Lotus Travel in Seattle, Washington in 1995. Louie enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, gardening, photography, fishing and hiking. Louie travels to China and Southeast Asia often to ensure the smooth operation of our China office and to explore new routes for our tours. From his visits to China, Louie created our very extensive tour packages for our clients. The Guilin Hiking Tour in our Asian Explorer Series is the product of one of his hiking trips in Guilin.

Lea Xu Vice president /Sales and Marketing Director

Lea runs our home office in America and is also in charge of our marketing team. She is a graduate of the Xian Foreign Languages University in Xian, China. Her major was English Literature and Tourism. After graduation, she worked in one of the largest travel company as a tour guide and sales manager in Guilin, China for four years before joining Lotus Travel in late 1995. Lea once co-hosted a travel show for China Central TV Station in China. She loves working with children and adoptive families. She studied child psychology at a local college in the Seattle area after work in order to enrich her service in this area. During her leisure time, Lea enjoys dancing and spending time with her three little daughters.

Theresa Hundley Regional Manager / Sales and Marketing Assistant

Theresa is our regional manager for the U.S. branch as well as a sales and marketing assistant to Lea Xu. Besides introducing adoptive families to the authentic and inspiring Chinese culture, she also makes sure all clients receive reasonable care and high quality service while making travel plans. Theresa also acts as our Web master at the same time. She is responsible for updating and maintaining the Web site to ensure adoptive families receive the travel information they are searching for. Prior to her employment at Lotus in spring of 2006, Theresa studied at Bellevue Community College in Bellevue, WA.

Linh Nguyen Administrative Assistant / Visa and Insurance Specialist

Linh is our administrative assistant that specializes in visa processing and insurance coverage. She works diligently in order to provide the respected customer service that our families deserve. Although she is of Chinese descent, Linh was born in Vietnam and traveled to the United States shortly at the ripe age of three. In 2006, Linh completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at the University of Washington. She has been a delightful addition to the Lotus Travel family since October 2007.
