Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival - Phnom Penh

Upon arrival, meet your English-speaking tour guide and at the airport
gate exit. You may discuss your trip and plans while you are escorted
to the hotel for check in. Please relax as you adjust
to your new surroundings and the new time zone.
Day 2: Phnom Penh

Meet your guide at the lobby of the hotel after
breakfast and have a tour of Phnom Penh with its graceful, tree-lined boulevards
and riverfront promenades within a modern city which
bustles with a variety of traffic and street vendors. This morning you will visit two city
monuments of Independence Monument and Wat Phnom. In the afternoon,
you can explore the Royal Palace, the official residence of King Norodom
Sihamoi and the nearby Silver Pagoda, which is known as the Pagoda of the
Emerald Buddha. Continue to the elegant National Museum, which contains
a comprehensive collection of Khmer Art. After dinner, you will enjoy
an hour-long boat cruise on Chak Tomuk River to see the
beautiful sunset as well as see the floating market and fishing village
Day 3: Phnom Penh / Siem Reap

Take an early morning flight to Siem Reap and meet your guide
upon arrival and check in to your hotel.
In the afternoon, you can visit the South gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple are with its many bas relief symbols which showcase daily life from centuries past. The visit also includes touring of the Bapuon temple, the ruins of Phimean Akas, as well as Elephants & Leper King Terraces which provides a fascinating look into Cambodian culture and religious history.

Day 4: Siem Reap

Explore one of the eight wonders of the ancient world,
the Angkor Wat temple complex. The 1000 year old complex
covers 500 acres and is surrounded by a moat on each side. Inside there
is a temple with five massive conical spires, with the center spire rising
250 feet above the ground. Have lunch and continue to explore. Before you leave
watch sunset from the top of Phnom at Bakheng Hill. (Optional: For adventuresome
travelers there is a king cobra show and snake farm nearby to Angkor Wat.
This daily show includes snake dancing and kissing.)
Day 5: Siem Reap

In the morning, visit a school and enjoy a first hand
glimpse at the education system in Cambodia. Then transfer to visit
the Chony Khneas village and enjoy a cruise on Tonle Sap River, which is
a unique river that changes directions twice per year. This body
of water offers a rich biodiversity and is so important to the region because
it supplies more than 75% of the fish for Cambodia. Before going back to
the hotel, visit the Singing Tree Café with healthy selection of
sandwiches, salads and smoothies.
Day 6: Siem Reap

In the morning visit the temple of Banteay Srei and have
a unique underground experience where the Taprom jungle temple has fig,
banyan and kapok trees spread their gigantic roots over stones, pushing
walls and terraces apart, as their branches and leaves intertwine and form
a roof over the structures. With its tree trunks twisting among stone pillars
there is a strange charm to this massive underground temple. According
to the ancient inscription, it required more than 70,000 servants to maintain
it during the 12th century. In the afternoon, go to the Les Artisans D'Angkor
School, which was created by a non-profit group to re-invigorate the lost
crafts of Cambodia. See stone chiseling, wood carving and painting.
Day 7: Siem Reap/Phnom Penh / US

After breakfast, meet your guide and you will be
escorted to the airport for your flight to your home country or on to
your next city/destination.
